Porsche 911 GT3RS in for Full Body Clear Bra and Level 2 Ceramic Coating in Denver Colorado

The 991 Porsche 911 GT3RS is quite honestly one of the most intensely fun vehicles I have ever driven. There’s a “togetherness” of the car that is extremely reassuring while at the same time it allows you to scare yourself on demand. The 500 hp is transferred through a seamless PDK transmission. Shifting the gears of this car is its own unique experience and a huge part of enjoying the car. The beefiness of the fenders, the tires, and the lower plastic trim give it a unique personality that lets you know it is ready for action. To feel good about driving it hard, we need to know that the paint and other finishes are well protected and will stay looking their best throughout the life of the car. We accomplished this task with our Full Body Coverage in XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS Clear Bra followed by our Level 2 GYEON quartz Ceramic Coating Package.

The XPEL Paint Protection Film is an 8.5 mil thick optically clear urethane that will absorb the impact of road debris and keep it from permanently damaging the paint in the form of rock chips. The Clear Bra in place provides a perfectly worry free driving experience. Just get in and have fun knowing the paint will not be adversely affected, where without it in Colorado there is a 100% chance of incurring road debris damage.

The GYEON quartz Ceramic Coatings will provide years of protection against UV and environmental impact, tons of gloss, and very easy wash maintenance as the coated surface will freely repel dirt and contaminant. The Level 2 GYEON Package includes GYEON quartz Q2 DuraFlex on the Body, Q2 RIM on the Wheels, and Q2 VIEW on the Windshield. So how do we do it?

Each project begins with a thorough cleaning and decontamination of every surface of the car. We need to ensure that no loose dirt and contaminant migrate in to the areas being covered in film. We also need to make sure that all bonded contaminants are removed from the paint. We do this through several washes using GYEON Q2M Foam, Q2M Bathe, Q2M Iron, and Q2M Clay. The car is hand washed and then blown dry to limit the direct interaction with the surfaces.

While the car is being cleaned and prepped, so is the Clear Bra. We use the XPEL DAP Design Software to custom design coverage for each vehicle. The XPEL platform provides us perfectly designed and fitting patterns for every inch of the car. We then go in and custom manipulate those patterns to extend edges, increase coverage, and hide the film anywhere we can for an effective and nearly invisible installation. Using the software creates perfect uniformity in coverage (perfect circles around parking sensors and the exact same lines on the passenger side as driver’s) as well as a completely safe installation as there will be no carbon razor blade hand trimming complex curves of the film over brand new paint. Each area is designed, printed, rolled up and labeled, and then placed for install. So when it is time to install the film it is down quickly and lives exactly where it wants to which limits debris and distortion in the films adhesive. It is this care that allows the film to go unseen.

Time for install! Cleanliness is of the utmost priority. Our installers wear paint suits, keep a clean shop, and run dust collectors constantly to perfect the working environment.

Once the Clear Bra is in place, it is time to install the GYEON quartz Ceramic Coating. This project received the all new GYEON quartz Q2 DuraFlex which is only available to GYEON quartz Certified Detailers. Q2 DuraFlex is a two part separate base coat and top coat chemistry system that leaves an unbelievably slick surface to repel dirt and debris and its own very intense gloss. The wheels received Q2 RIM to make cleaning a breeze while protecting from brake dust and other corrosion. The windshield received Q2 VIEW which is a highly repellent glass specific coating to aid in visibility during poor weather.
