XPEL Clear Bra and GYEON Coatings for this BMW M2

With 365 hp, a 4.1 Second 0-60 time, and a red line of 7,000 rpm the BMW M2 is a car that is meant to be driven hard. Now what is the one thing that can ruin all that fun?….Hearing a rock or road debris from your buddy in front of you bounce off the hood and knowing you have just damaged the paint. Misery.

Luckily, we have an answer. We can completely protect your brand new paint from rock chips and road debris impact using the latest technology from XPEL, their Ultimate Paint Protection Film. XPEL Ultimate is an 8.5 mil thick, optically clear, urethane film designed to lay over your paint and protect it from damage during every day use. Using advanced tools and install technique, we can install this film at a level where you truly have to look hard to notice it’s presence.

The second piece to this puzzle are the Quartz Coatings from GYEON Quartz. These products are designed for long term protection from chemical and UV damage, while delivering tons of gloss, and making maintenance cleaning fast and safe. The goal is to create a surface that is highly repellent for a long period of time. This allows dirt and contaminant that you would move over your paint during washing, which also creates scratches and swirl marks, to freely release from the paints surface.

This combination of Clear Bra and Quartz Coatings are the most capable set of products on the market in terms of helping you keep your new car looking like the day you bought it. So how do we do it?

Each project starts with a thorough decontamination of the entire vehicle. Cleanliness is extremely important when we are talking about the final look of the project (read more about cleanliness HERE). This includes several washes, GYEON Iron decon to remove the below surface bonded contaminants, and GYEON Clay to remove the above surface bonded contaminants. This provides a completely clean surface for us to work with.

Once the paint is prepared, we move on to installation of the XPEL Ultimate Clear Bra. We pre design and pre cut each area of coverage using the Graphtec 8600 60” plotter as well as the XPEL DAP Design Software. This keeps us from hand trimming large areas of film, on top of your paint, where damage can be induced. We can completely customize the coverage before hand, extend edges, delete side markers or emblems, drag curves, etc to offer a high level of coverage with zero damage to your paint from hand trimming with a blade.

Once the Clear Bra is installed, it is time to install the GYEON Quartz Coating. For this project we chose GYEON Q2 DuraBead. This is a 2 part, separate base coat/top coat chemistry designed for long term protection and intense water beading. The coating will deliver big time gloss while making regular maintenance washing very simple.

The final results are stunning. We now have a car that looks better than the day it rolled off the showroom floor, that can be enjoyed to the max without the owner worrying about damage during normal use.
